Jondaryan Heritage Festival 2010 - A Taster from Past Festivals

Wearable Felt Art by well known felt artist Helen Stumkat 2007
Only 5 days to go and still lots to prepare.  This is the 34th Jondaryan Woolshed Heritage Festival ...21 Aug to 29 Aug.

There will be so much to do and see.  Shearing, spinning and felting demonstrations, rope making, blacksmithing, bullock wagons and coach rides etc.  Of course.....and  most importantly there will be a large  Wool and Felt Art Exhibition in the historic Flagstone Hall. Most of the items will be for sale.

I will heading out every now and then during the Festival to demonstrate felting ...all dressed up in my period custom, which  is a lot of fun.

Here is a quick taster from past years:

Needled felted feast in the Woolshed
Felted Art in the Flagstone Hall
Sue Cook making pumpkin scones for sale at Historical Cottage
Spinning on the Cottage verandah
Children and Teacher in period costume outside the School
Bed in the Squatters Hut
Shepherds Hut (left) and Army tent ( right)

More images and information  about the Festival can be found at  http://www.jondaryanwoolshed.com/02_calendar/festival.htm

Hope to see some of you there...
I'll be demonstrating down in the Wool shed,
so come on down and say hello.
